Joining this group will give you the opportunity to be in a space with directed focus of specific concerns that have probably caused you some kind of distress. You will get access to the training of a therapist discussing these topics and providing a safe space of peers. You will have an opportunity to share and receive from learned experiences over the span of a set number of biweekly sessions. You will explore you, your emotions, thoughts and the limits that have been place on you by you or society. With the connection of the sister circle you will learn how to begin to give yourself permission to "be", whatever that means for you. And you will know that you are not alone.
A lot of women have friends, but often times do not share the full story about what bothers them and to what extent. Many minority women move through the world like everything is "fine", when in reality a lot of women are putting on a front because all the other women in their life looks as though they have everything together.
Do you really share when you are sad, stressed, feeling invalidated or just over the BS? If you do great for that dynamic within your friend group! If not, this group is a great place to remove the mask and start getting honest.
Most insurance companies do not cover support groups. You can use HSA to cover group costs. Support groups do not require a diagnosis and they are not therapy. Support groups are a place to find a group of people who have a similar concerns and focuses on validation, sharing perceptions and gaining new insight based on the collective knowledge. A therapist is facilitating this group and also brings the knowledge of their specific years of training, but facilitation is a group effort.
The typical support group fees usually range from $45.00 - $160.00.

Support groups follow a flexible structure without an educational or psychotherapy format. Individuals can expect to join a group of peers (i.e. minority or ally) that offer support through their learned wisdom. Participants can share as much or as little personal information as they wish.
CLOSED Groups- In order to maintain an environment of trust these support groups are closed to all who are not in the cohort and there is typically a participant limit. These support groups are dependent on your consistent attendance for support to other group members. When committing to a closed group, payment is required whether you attend or miss a session. Payment is due before the start of group to hold your seat.
OPEN Groups/Workshops- This type of group allows for support from peers in a space where new members are welcome to join at any time during the life of the group. Payment for this type of group is only required for the group session that is attended.
