WTB Turns 50!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Walter T. Bergen!

Walter T. Bergen Middle School was dedicated to Bloomingdale on October 24, 1971. The first graduating 8th grade class of 1971 wanted to leave a special memory of this day behind. To remember this day, a time capsule was placed to be opened on the 50th anniversary of WTB.

The time capsule was opened on October 22, 2021 and shown at the WTB 50th Anniversary celebration. Students of the class of 1971 came to see all the items that they buried and represented them as Bobcats 50 years ago! To continue the tradition, a time capsule representing 2021 was buried and not to be opened until 2071!
