Emergency Planning and Response Procedures:

As prescribed by the state and federal law, and in conjunction with the Bloomfield Police Department, the district holds safety drills throughout the year. In addition, we utilize security and preparedness resources from the New Jersey Department of Education as well as from the New Jersey Regional Operation and Intelligence Center. Additionally, the district relies on emergency planning and response procedures outlined in the Uniform State Memorandum of Agreement between the Board of Education and Law Enforcement, the Bloomfield Emergency Management Plan, Parkland Florida School shooting 30-day impact on New Jersey report, New Jersey School Boards Final Report, (What Makes Schools Safe?) and the New Jersey School Security Task Force Report.
