February celebrates Black History Month. A variety of titles are available at the library, including books on Martin Luther King, Jr., Misty Copeland, Jackie Robinson, and Katherine Johnson to name a few.
In addition to Black History Month, there is also a display with books about the Winter Olympics. Students can learn about the sports featured in these games, including speed skating, figure skating, along with the bobsled and luge.
Destiny Discover is our resource to access the library's collection. Students can search for printed titles, ebooks, audio books, and interactive ebooks. Account usernames and passwords were given to students in September. Students in grades 3-6 will practice logging in during library class using Clever.
Check the library class schedule here. Each student in grades 1-6 can check out 2 books per 6 day cycle. Preschool and kindergarten students can choose one book each cycle. If a student forgets to return their books, they can still check out one book. Please remember to return library books when they are due so others can enjoy them too!
