Navigating the Data

BHRC's CEDS website uses Tableau to make demographic and other data interactive. For practice, try the following prompts to interact with CEDS data.

• Click on Region in the top left to access a drop-down menu that changes location. Chart data updates based on your selection.

• Click on Hispanic or Latino under Ethnicity. This highlights the selected sections of the bar chart. Click again to remove the highlight. Many objects can be clicked on in a visualization to highlight data. Try clicking parts of the bar chart or the different races under the pie charts to see what happens.

• Hover the cursor over the bar and pie charts to see Tooltips, which provide additional information like locations, counts, estimates, percentages, and margins of error.

• To reset the visualization to its default settings, click Reset View near the chart window's bottom right.
