Device Requirements

Year 3 - 6 

Children in Years 3-6 are required to bring to school an iPad.

The iPad will need to be set up by families in preparation for use.  To help you set up the ipad we have created this guide.   

Please note,  we do not recommend using an iPad mini, these are too small for educational purposes.  ideally the device will not be older than a 2021 iPad, with 128GB memory and a 10.2” screen.

If you re purchasing a new device we recommend - 

An iPad with 512GB , 10.2 inch screen

In addition, the iPad will need:

• have the latest iPadOS

• a set of headphones/earphones

• a robust case  (Otterbox Defender or the Griffin Survivor)

• an active iTunes account

• Insurance *Optional

*We strongly recommend you set up a Family Sharing account for your child. This should be done on your device, the details when completed can then be entered on the iPad.

In the event of loss or damage you will be responsible for repair and or replacement.

Senior School

A Mac or Windows laptop is required for all senior students with the following minimum requirements:

• 13" Screen minimum 

• M1 Chip / or an Intel i5 Processor 12th Generation

• 16GB RAM

• 512GB SSD Drive

• 802.11 AX or above wireless network card

• Built-in Webcam

• Battery life sufficient for a day of learning (approx 4-6 hours)

• Earbud Headset

• Laptop Protective Cover

• Active (not freeware) antivirus software subscription

• Insurance *optional (the school will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged devices)

Please note this specification will ensure longevity however it is only a recommendation.  If you already have a laptop that is only a year or two old with the above minimum specifications then please feel free to use this.
