Wrestling

In this section of sports, we are going to tell you about this wrestling season.

As you take your first step onto the wrestling mat, you automatically sense the smell of sweat and can hear each movement coming from the fast footwork of each wrestler. As you walk around to witness each match, you can see the determination in their eyes. First, we interviewed Landon Haugen, a beginner in the sport. He has only been wrestling for 3 weeks and enjoys how this sport puts him in shape. He says the only downfall to the sport is when his teammates who have been wrestling much longer then he has, know more about the subject then he does. But he is learning. Overall, Landon thinks the sport is very fun and it helps him relieve stress homework and school.

Coming from a different perspective, we decided to interview someone who is a little more experienced. He has been wrestling for eight years. His name is Cole Radenz. We asked cole if the sport adds stress or relieves it; This was his response: "The sport adds stress because sometimes I have to cut weight and then I don't perform well in school." When it comes to decision making, Cole thinks about his decisions before he makes them, knowing they can negatively affect his career as a wrestler. As far as Cole's schedule goes, he practices Monday-Friday and then Sunday he gets better by drilling the same move over and over again and again then goes for a 10 minute run.
