Dear Parents,

Welcome to the start of the academic year 2021-22. We would like to share some information in the slides below about our Virtual School Experience to ensure everyone is fully prepared.

Our provision for the Virtual School Experience for our youngest learners has further improved and one of the first things I am sure you will notice is an increase in online contact with the teacher for all students.

The timetable is open-ended, with different learning activities happening in every session. This means that all students will continue to have access to the full Early Years Foundation Stage Framework coverage, including communication and language, physical development, creative arts, mathematics, personal/social development, music and dance and understanding the world activities. Each session will also have an added play element which imitates the learning through play and adult interactions the children experience at school. Added to this, teachers will have live 1:1 and small group sessions with the children each afternoon.

One new addition, for students and parents is our Virtual platform, Microsoft Teams. Class Dojo, remains as a great tool for communication between school and home. It is a secure platform that keeps parents up to date on learning in class and events that are taking place. It is also a wonderful tool for celebrating your child’s attitude to learning, positive behaviour and being a BIS Superhero role model.
