Students will Define and describe the terms circle, diameter, radius, circumference, and pi and solve problems in terms of Circumference
At the end of the week, students will determine the area of circles and finishing the week with a quiz using Area.

Students will determine the big “B” as the area of the base after identifying the base using hands on activity with popcorn. The following day students will be evaluating the “B” as base of a cylinder.
At the end of the week, students will determine the volume of cones and sphere, solving real-world problems.

Students will identify the role Railroads played in the close of the Texas Frontier and review content on Cotton, Cattle and Railroads to prepare for the Unit Exam.
Wednesday Unit 8 Exam.
At the end of the week, students will understand the importance of the railroads and the economic changes it brought and the introduction of the Oil Boom in Texas.

At the end of the week, students will explore setting, flashback, character motivation using character motivation chart and determine how a character’s motivation and behaviors influence events and resolution of conflict using student writing.

Monday students will determine the effects on the graph of the parent function when values of a, b, c, and d are added.
Tuesday students will write Quadratic equations given the vertex and another point on the graph, in vertex form and then rewrite it in standard form using Writing Equations and Transformations.
Wednesday Math TELPAS writing.
At the end of the week, students will solve for the vertex, axis of symmetry, and the max/min of a quadratic graph using Properties of Parabolas.
