Behavior Plan for Mrs. Pope and Mrs. People
This calendar is in your child's daily take-home folder. Every day, your child will bring this folder home. It will contain graded papers from your child's teacher, important informational papers, as well as critical papers that will need to be signed and returned to school. Please review your child's folder every day. Here is an explanation of colors:
Every morning, students will start on a green showing they are ready to learn. They can move their clip up or down based on their choices.
Blue: WOW! This is when students go above and beyond with their choices and are kind and helpful to others
Green: Ready to Learn! A majority of the time, students will stay on green. This shows that your child had a great day at school and followed directions throughout the day.
Yellow: Warning.. Children are not perfect and will occasionally mess up. This is ok! Students who have had a couple of verbal warnings will move their clip to yellow. They do have an opportunity to move up if their choices improve through the day.
Orange: Think about it... If a student has already moved their clip to yellow and is still struggling to follow the rules, they will move their clip to orange. This will result in a short time out of a fun activity that is planned. You will likely see a Remind message at home
Red: Note home... Students will move to red if they have struggled the majority of the day with following the rules. Students can also move straight to red for more serious behavior, such as physically hurting another student. If your child is on red at the end of the day, there will be a note in their folder indicating what the behavior has been that day.
Please feel free to ask your teacher if you have any questions or need clarification!
Behavior Plan for Mrs. Lee:
I will be using a 1, 2, 3 chart for students. A 3 means the student had a great day with minimal warnings. A 2 means the student had a few reminders throughout the day. A 1 means the student had a difficult day.
There are a variety of ways you can help your child at home! Reading 1-15 minutes each night with your child is very beneficial in your child's educational experience. Continuing to practice sight words and decodable words is also very beneficial. We have also place an OPTIONAL skills reinforcement calendar in your child's daily folder. For additional ideas feel free to reach out to your child's teacher!
