Juxtaposition: an act or instance of placing close together or side by side, especially for comparison or contrast.

2. Create the toy’s character: what is the toy’s name? What situations/scenarios could the toy be in? What is the story? What kind of action would take place?
3. Theme: Is your background image chosen from this list?

4. Set construction
Cardboard base
Designed with minimum 3 pieces of fabric and glued down
Additional set “dressing” to provide depth to your photos (foreground)
5. Background projection: images on your computer screen you find and use as a background
Image search
Five Hi-resolution images in desktop folder and in Google Drive
6. Go to Apple Menu>System Preferences>Desktop and Screensaver and drag your folder to the system preferences side bar.
7. Select the image you would like to use.
8. Move and store any folders and files from the desktop so it will be clear when you begin photographing
9. Juxtaposition: check to make sure:
Does your use of toy and background together suggest a contrasting effect? (the toy with an image of one of the themes above as background)
10. Framing
Before you have taken the photo have you made sure everything you like is within the frame of your camera. Also is everything you do not like excluded from the frame?
11. Are all of the following shots covered?
Master shot
Medium shot front
Medium shot side right
Medium shot side left
Closeup front
Closeup left
Closeup right
Shooting up (worms eye view)
Shooting down (bird’s eye view)
12. Save each of your images as lastname_firstname_per_recycledtoy_medium_front, etc
Store on your Desktop and in Google Drive. Share when assignment completed.
