Important Dates to Know

September 18 - UIL Six-Weeks Grade Check

September 23 @ 5pm - Registration closes for 9.21.26 sessions. All registrants must have also signed in on the sign-in sheet in order to receive credit for attending. 

October 2nd - Flex Requests Due.  All Flex Requests for the October 13th Flex Day are due to your supervisor by October 2nd.  These are hours accrued from January 2026 to the present.  

Did you attend an out-of-district professional learning session and need those hours to be in your Professional Learning Portfolio?  Submit your certificate and request credit:

*CAUTION* Expect delays if you submit your credit request(s) the week before Flex Requests are due.  It is best practice to submit outside-of-district credit requests well before October 2nd. 

October 8 - End of First Quarter / First Nine Weeks

October 9 - Student Holiday / BISD Campuses Closed 

October 12 - District Closed

October 13 - Student Holiday / Campus Professional Learning or Flex Day

October 14 - Second Quarter / Second Nine Weeks Begins

November 2 - Student Holiday / District Professional Learning
