The TSIA2 is made up of 3 different sections:
ELAR: 30 questions covering reading comprehension, literary analysis, and revising/editing. A diagnostic assessment is possible with additional questions.
Essay: A prompt will be given for students to write a 350 - 600 word essay. The essay will be scored based on organization and structure, purpose and focus, development and support, sentence variety and style, mechanical conversations, and critical thinking.
Math: 20 questions covering quantitative reasoning, algebraic reasoning, geometric and spatial reasoning, and probabilistic and statistical reasoning. A diagnostic assessment is possible with an additional 48 questions. (Calculators are not allowed but are provided on certain questions.)
ELAR: at least 945 or less than 945 AND a diagnostic test score of 5 or 6
Essay: at least a 5
Math: at least a 950 or less than a 950 AND diagnostic test score of 6
*You must earn college readiness in all three categories.
