Geisinger - Enterprise Pharmacy Summer Internship Program 2026

Job type: Summer Internship

Dates: May 18, 2026 - August 14, 2026

Targeted Population: P1 and P2 PharmD Students

Deadline to Apply: December 15, 2025

Job Description/Information:

Compensation: Flex position offering 40 hours/week for 13-weeks; weekdays, dayshift; no weekends required. Pay: $16.50/hour

Summer Internship Clinical & Operational Activities:

• Multidisciplinary patient care team rounds

• Patient counseling

• Medication histories

• Medication distribution

• Patient experience

Professional Development Activities:

• Weekly educational sessions

• Journal Club presentation

• Formulary drug review project

• Medication research project

• Patient Case presentation

Sites: Geisinger Community Medical Center (Scranton, PA), Geisinger Medical Center (Danville, PA),

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (Lewiston, PA), Geisinger Medical Center Muncy (Muncy, PA)

Other Conditions:

Opportunity to incorporate IPPE hours, if approved by your School of Pharmacy’s Experiential Office.

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals is proud to offer postdoctoral fellowship opportunities for PharmD and PhD graduates interested in pursuing careers within the pharmaceutical industry. Based at Boehringer Ingelheim's U.S. Headquarters in Ridgefield, Connecticut, our fellowship program provides PharmD and PhD graduates with meaningful industry experience through hands-on training, mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and professional development opportunities designed to prepare them for successful careers in the pharmaceutical industry.

Building on more than a decade of fellowship training, Boehringer Ingelheim continues to offer opportunities across multiple disciplines. Opportunities are available for both PharmD and PhD graduates, reflecting our commitment to developing scientific and clinical talent across a range of functional areas.
