Controls should be run the first time a person is working in the sample manager station and each time a lot number changes.
On your first shift in the sample manager station, make sure to run the controls.

PPE required for the Sample Management station include:
Surgical mask
Gloves

Open the test card and lay it flat on the table.
If blue line is NOT present at the Control Line position prior to running the test, do not use and discard the test card.
Holding the reagent 1/2 inch above the card, slowly add 6 drops to the top hole of the swab well.
Do not touch the card with the dropper tip while dispensing.
Notify the sample collector you are ready for the next test.
The sample collector will insert the swab into the bottom hole and push firmly until the swab is visible in the top hole.
The sample collector will rotate the swab 3 times clockwise.
The sample collector will remove the adhesive strip and firmly close the test card.
Attach the third label to right side of the card, front and back.
Start the timer for 15 minutes.
Note the time on the documentation form.
Move the timer, test card, and the documentation form back to the analyzer operator.
Sanitize hard surfaces and gloved hands
Change gloves if they are soiled or damaged.
