Your Video Profile is an important part of your Online Portfolio. A lot of our students have it as a feature on their home page. The video below is full of useful tips to help you to create something that lets your audience know exactly who you are.
If you want to add background music to your video profile, here are a few sites where you can find tracks under Creative Commons licence:
openverse - not just music, you’ll also find heaps of free stock images.
mobygratis - free instrumental tracks from Moby that you can edit or remix.
Citizen DJ - a Library of Congress project with sounds and music you can download and play around with.
While they are all free to use, you will need to check the licence statement as some will ask to be credited.
If you're unsure of what to use, our Communications Team recommends these FREE tools for creating your Video Profile:
Clipchamp - easy to use and runs in your browser. It comes with handy templates to get you started.
iMovie - free if you have a MAC device. This one’s beginner friendly too!
Da Vinci Resolve - this is a semi-professional platform that includes a wide range of advanced features suited to people who are more familiar with video editing.
