Fly-in programs are designed to provide greater access to college visits for students from economically disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds. If this sounds like you, consider applying for a fly-in scholarship. This awards cover the cost of travel to campuses, usually for a multi-day overnight trip.
What's in it for me?
You get to experience a college up-close; touring the campus, attending events, meeting with faculty, interviewing, and most importantly getting a sense of fit!
What's in it for the college?
Admissions teams strive to build intellectually, socially, and racially diverse classes. Fly-in programs allow administrators to expose prospective students from diverse backgrounds to their campus. If you attend a fly-in program, your application fee will likely be waived as well.
Where can I learn more about fly-ins? Appily, the College Vine Blog, or College Greenlight.
