Thank you to all of our applicants, your submissions are being cleared of names and will be turned over to a board of teachers for review. We will announce the recipients of our awards in the coming months.

What is Science National Honors Society?

The Science National Honors Society (SNHS) was founded as an opportunity for students who were interested in a S.T.E.M. field to give back to their community by using their collective voices to advocate for the advancement of the S.T.E.M. fields. As an organization, we work with and in our community and school to get more people involved in the Science, Math, Technology, and Engineering.

What does it take to become a member?

All of our members are current students of TPHS, and are either Juniors or Seniors. They all maintain an unweighted GPA of 3.00, with their unweighted science GPA at least a 3.5. We also look for applicants who are enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) Science course for their junior year, and who plan on taking an AP course their senior year as well. The final requirement is that you have passed an AP science test by your senior year. The link below is to our application, which any student who is interested in the program is more than welcome to copy and give to Mr. Rucinski in room 205.
