Make a "Self Improvement" Study Guide
1) Pre-Evaluation
Before coming up with a plan get a clue as to where you stand.
Do you like the subject?
Do you think it will contribute to a better future for yourself?
Do you find yourself unable to remember basic vocabulary?
Do you take longer than you feel necessary to complete assignments?
2) Analyze Your Strengths, Weaknesses and Opportunities
3) Clearly Define Your Goals
4) Prioritize Your Goals
5) Set Milestones

6) Design an Action Plan
7) Review Progress
It is important to check if a plan is working. A working plan is a solution, if it is not working try again. Make improvements or start over with a new plan.
Note Book Requirements:
You must have a notebook that can be accessed in class and at home.
Suggested to include but not limited to the following sections:
Math Toolbox:
quick reference sheets
graphical organizers
Approved Scientific Calculator
( recommended but not required: TI-30XS Multiview )straight edge
graph paper
Vocabulary section:
Definitions restated in students own words
Previously mastered terms may be excluded
Mastered terms need to be marked for study purposes
Notes
Date and label each new entry
If you need to go back and add to a page record the date you modify it.
Summary sheets (recommended)
For each day of notes student needs to create a reflection of the material covered that includes what skills they felt confident in completing, where in the notes they could use further clarification and explanation and what problem types that were not completed and or started due to not being able to determine the next step.
