Community Based CPR

Community-based CPR is one of the major projects of the NSS Bureau of Birla Global University, where volunteers will be trained by medical professionals with the objective to become a "Qualified Life Saver" in the community.

Digital Literacy of Rural School Children

The rationality behind this project is that children must be nurtured with Digital Literacy to become holistic digital citizens, which is a crucial step towards empowering rural students to take full advantage of technology-enabled learning opportunities. Read more...

Economic Empowerment of Rural Women Entrepreneurs in New Normal

Women across the world are disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, reversing gains in gender equality made in recent decades. Women-led businesses have been more negatively impacted economically, especially in rural India. In this context, based on the recommendations of the G20 policy incites, the project intends to design and implement skill-based modules for women SHGs of rural Odisha that accelerate and supports their understanding and operationalizing their business effectively. Further, in the second stage, the project intends to offer a digital inclusion of women entrepreneurs and empowers them to be successful in both digital business and the digital economy.

Team NSS celebrates vigilance awareness week

Har Ghar Tiranga

A Walkathon was organized by NSS-BGU on 9th August 2022 from Kalinga Stadium to Police Commissionerate, Office, Bhubaneswar to invoke the feeling of patriotism in people’s hearts and encourage people to bring Tiranga home hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s Independence.

NSS BGU organized an Art Competition for the Rural School students of Malipada Panchayat and students of BGU, Khurda. A total of 202 students from nine different schools participated in the event. NSS volunteers have coordinated the entire event. 

First Independence Day celebration by NSS Parade Team at Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar on 15. 08. 2022.

International Women's Day 2022

NSS volunteers observed International Women's Day on 8th March 2022 by conveying a silent message to the public with posters depicting the theme “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.” 

Gift of Life

A blood donation camp was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Rotaract club of Birla Global University, Gothapatna, Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the Red Cross Blood Bank, Capital Hospital Bhubaneswar.

The Rotaract Club of Birla Global University along with The NSS unit of Birla School of Law named “KAIZENjointly initiated a noble initiative titled Water for Voicelessto celebrate the Earth Day, 22nd April 2022
