Parents often ask, "How do you ensure my son/daughter will be safe?" Safety is at the core of the GENESIS program. Safety begins with highly trained, experienced and detail-oriented leaders. Course leaders are trained in :

Advanced Wilderness Level III First Aid

Canoe Camping Certification

Additionally, risk management assessments have been completed well in advance to any field trip. Students will learn how to mitigate risks and take numerous tests to ensure proficiency.

We live in a time where we are all acutely aware of the importance of mental health. One of the benefits of a semester in GENESIS is that students gain a real sense of their own abilities and learn to problem solve and overcome challenges. Graduates of the GENESIS program often remark that they are much more resilient to life's challenges and approach difficult situations with optimism and a problem-solving attitude.

GENESIS students learn the "how to" skills of life. Packing, food planning/preparation , self care, trip planning, prayer life and a multitude of other skills are developed. Graduates of the GENESIS program have a sense of direction and the skills to assist them in their life journeys.
