PARENT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION

What is the PCO?

The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School Parent Community Organization (BFCCPS PCO) is an all-volunteer organization that supports our school by organizing and funding educational and social programs.  Our mission is to enrich the education and interpersonal experience of students while fostering a sense of community and commitment among all families and staff.  Initiatives are achieved through focused committees, fundraising, and volunteer efforts, and are mindful of our pillars and mission.

THE BFCCPS PCO NEEDS YOU!

As parents and guardians of BFCCPS students, you are already members!  The PCO depends on volunteers, like you, to make all of this possible.  There are countless ways you can help whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours.  Your ideas, time, and talent are truly needed. For the PCO to be effective, it is essential to have involvement from as many parents and guardians as possible.   Please consider volunteering because it really does make a difference in the lives of our children!  CLICK HERE to see volunteer opportunities!

Faculty & Staff Appreciation Week

This year’s Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week is May 6th-May 10th and our theme is “BFCCPS Faculty and Staff are SUN-SATIONAL!” – a summer vibe to show our faculty and staff how they are rays of sunshine and brighten our school with their hard work and dedication!

STUDENT-LED ACTIVITIES: In addition to PCO-sponsored in-school events, we are encouraging students and families to join in the appreciation and celebration fun!  Similarly to spirit weeks, each day has a different activity. Feel free to pick and choose!  Students and families are encouraged to participate in at least two activities during the week.

RAYS OF APPRECIATION ACTIVITY: Additionally, there will be a collection bin at the main entrance of the school to collect the “Rays of Appreciation” activity that will then be hung in the school throughout the week! CLICK HERE to view and print the template. Feel free to draw and cut out your own sun as well!

Please visit any Dean Bank location to open your Student Savings account and be ready to bank at school in the fall!

Regularly scheduled banking sessions will be held on Wednesday mornings in the Commons. Students bring their deposits to school and their deposits are given to our volunteer "tellers", who verify the deposits, issue receipts, and help them log their deposits on the computer.

Student Banking is a wonderful program run by School Savings and sponsored by Dean Bank, that helps students open and maintain savings accounts at school.  School Savings is a non-profit, U.S. Department of Education approved organization whose sole purpose is to help teach children the value of saving money.  BFCCPS is proud to bring this program to our school!

To request a NEW ACCOUNT pamphlet print THIS FILE and send it in with your student.  A pamphlet will be sent back home with them for you to fill out.  You can return it to the school or take it straight to Dean Bank.  New accounts take 1-2 weeks to open.
