Roles and Responsibilities

Principal

• Attends all meetings (CRPBIS, IPBS, SAT, SST)

• Participates in FBAs and helps design BSPs

• Helps ensure staff who need to need information about BSPs have it

General Education Teacher

• Attends SAT and SST

  • At least one general education teacher representative attends CR PBIS and IPBS

• Delivers core curricula with fidelity

• Differentiates/scaffolds instruction to meet the needs of students

• Coordinates in-class interventions

• Collaborates with team

• Provides initial verbal notification to parents regarding strategic intervention

• Participates in FBAs and helps design BSPs

• Collects BSP data

Title I Teacher (note, role varies by building)

• Attends relevant meetings

• Participates in FBAs and helps design BSPs

• May deliver Tier II interventions

• Collaborates with team

Resource Room Teacher

• Attends all meetings (grade level 100%, 20%, SAT, SST, CRPBIS, IPBS)

• Facilitates FBAs and writes BSPs

• Delivers Tier III interventions

• Collaborates with general education teacher and counselor

• Consults with team

• Helps manage data collection

• Initiates Special Education Referral paperwork for Student Support Team meeting

• Coordinates Special Education process and related communication with family

• Prepares any necessary TieNet paperwork

Speech and Language Pathologist

• Collaborates/consults with team

• Provides additional assessments as determined by team

• Facilitates FBAs and writes BSPs

• Delivers Tier III interventions

Counselor

• Convenes SATs for concerns about behavior

• Takes notes for SAT meetings

• Brings behavioral data, 504 information, and attendance data to SAT meetings

• Convenes and facilitates IPBS meetings

• Facilitates FBAs and writes BSPs

• Delivers Tier II and III interventions

School Psychologist

• Collaborates/consults with team

• Attends IPBS, SAT, and SST meetings, as needed

• Provides additional assessments as determined by team

• Consults on the FBA to BSP process

• Consults on data collection systems

ELD Teacher

• Attends relevant meetings

• Collaborates with teams as necessary

District Behavior Specialist

• Attends IPBS and SAT meetings, as needed

• Consults with building teams on behavioral interventions

• Participates in FBAs and consults on BSPs, when needed
