Course Description: Computer Applications for Business covers a number of common computer applications used within business and academic environments. These include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools. Additionally, students will be required to complete keyboarding assessments to demonstrate improved technique and speed.
Desktop Web Design and Development .5 Credit

Course Description: Web Design and Development provides an introduction to the design, creation, and maintenance of web pages and websites using HTML, CSS, and various web design applications. Students will learn how to critically evaluate websites, create and maintain quality web pages, and manage projects against client requirements. Participants will create an electronic portfolio of work that demonstrates their progression from introductory web design to a complete website.
Graphic Design I .5 Credit

Course Description: This class will introduce students to the ethical and legal implications of image manipulation in the real world. It is designed to develop skills in graphic design principles, visual comps, peer review, and redesign. Students will be working in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. They will create an electronic portfolio of work that demonstrates their skill progression.
Graphic Design II .5 Credit

Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in Graphic Design I

Course Description: This course is a continuation of the Graphic Design I. It develops skills in more advanced applications of graphic design as they relate to a business environment. Students will be working in the following Adobe products: Illustrator, Flash, Edge Animate, and InDesign. They will create an electronic portfolio of work that demonstrates their skill progression.

Course Description: This course is an introductory course designed for students who have an interest in computer science and related fields. Upon completion of this course, students will have a better understanding of the field of Computer Science, computer coding languages, hardware, and software systems.
AP Computer Science Principles 1 Credit

Course Description: This course is a college level class designed for students who have an interest in computer science and/or engineering. Upon completion of the course, students will have a broadened understanding of the foundational concepts of computer science: creative development, data, algorithms and programming, computing systems and networks, and impact of computing.
AP Computer Science A 1 Credit
902121 Full Year
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Algebra 1 and sophomore English as well as any two of the following: Desktop & Web Design, Robotics, Computer Science, or AP Computer Science Principles.
Open to: Grades 11, 12
Course Description: This course is a college level class designed for students who have an interest in computer science, engineering, software design, and systems architecture. Upon completion of this course, students will gain a familiarity with designing programs, developing algorithms, writing/testing/correcting code, and documenting and explaining how program code works.
