SEPAC
Special Education Parent Advisory Council
Bernards SEPAC is a parent-led, state-mandated group who works collaboratively with district administration and board of education members to ensure that family voices are represented and reflected when policies, practices, and programs affecting the education, health, and safety of children with special needs are discussed.
Each school representative commits their time and passion to help advance student representation in our district's respective schools. They establish positive relationships with the school personnel at all levels, connect with other special needs families at their respective schools, engage with the school PTO, and understand the school dynamics.
SEPAC Executive Board members meet with Special Services Administration and Board of Education Members in October, January and April of each school year (closed meetings), and the minutes from each meeting are posted at the bottom of the SEPAC website page here.
