Mathematics Resources

There are countless websites and web-based programs, providing resources for students’ success in mathematics. The following are a few of these resources that can be used by teachers, parents, and students to support student mathematical skill development.

 

Greg Tan Math

Free online word problem generator.  In addition, there are more resources and game available for students to practice their mathematical skills.

Kentucky Family Math Resources

This is a link to a lot of resources organized by grade level which can be done at home or anytime.

Math is Fun (K-12)

This site offer mathematics in an enjoyable and easy-to-learn manner, and covers content from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Illuminations from NCTM       (K-12) 

Illuminations is designed to provide standards-based resources that improve the teaching and learning of mathematics for all students. 

National Library of Virtual Manipulatives for Interactive Mathematics   (3-12)

The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives for Interactive Mathematics is a National Science Foundation project that provides interactive online math lessons.

Yummy Math      (3-12)

Yummy Math explores math concepts using real-life contexts. The activities provided are aligned with the NCTM Process Standards and the CCSS for Mathematical Practice in mind and our relevant to our world today.  The site has great resources and activities for the classroom and home.

Khan Academy            (K-12)

The Khan Academy provides an extensive video library, interactive challenges, and adaptive assessments for you to practice mathematics at any level. 

AAA Math        (K-8)

AAA Math provides a comprehensive set of interactive arithmetic lessons with an unlimited amount of practice on any given topic.

Math Playground        (K-8)

Math Playground provides math games, logic games, word problems, and math videos. 

Arcademics (1-6)

These games are free for anyone to play (at home or school) and allow students to practice math by playing games against other students around the world.  Boost engagement with their multiplayer math and language arts games.

Math Fact Café (K-5)

Math Fact Café provides a free generator of math worksheets and flashcards, focusing on counting, money, multiplication tables, standard facts, time, and word problems

The Math League    (4-12)

The Math League has published books for purchase containing previous math contests for 4th grade and above.  You can also purchase an app of the contests here and the detailed solutions here.  On their website, you can also view some contests and solutions.

Primary Krypto (K-8)

This game will keep students learning and practicing basic math skills.  Combine five number cards using the four arithmetic operations to arrive at a target number.

Dreambox.com 

Dreambox is an online adaptive program to help students achieve mathematical success.  There is a 90 free trail.


IXL       (K-12)

IXL allows teachers and parents to monitor the progress of their students and motivate them through interactive games and practice questions. IXL offers a dynamic and enjoyable environment for children to practice math.  Parents can sign up their children with an account on a monthly or yearly basis.  There is also a free version where students can explore the acticies without saving their progress.


Study Island     (K-12)

Study Island is a research-based program that provides instruction, practice, assessment, and reporting in a fun and engaging manner.


Mangahigh (5-10)

Mangahigh provides digitally "Engaging Game-Based Math Learning".
