Their first concert is Sunday, December 7th from 2:00-3:30 PM at the Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church (8600 Academy Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111), and then again on Sunday, December 14th from 2:30-4:00 PM at Saint John XXIII Catholic Community (4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111).

Observations (Repeat)
If you are a Level 1 Teacher, we need to schedule your first observation by the end of the second quarter. Send me an email for a time that will work for you & your classroom. During upcoming walkthroughs, I'll be looking for Phase 2 of Get Better Faster! I'll be looking to support you in Lesson Delivery & Instructional Rigor, Student Understanding & Thinking, and Materials & Visuals. Are all students engaged? and Does every student have the opportunity to answer?
Small Tweaks, Big Gains (Repeat)
For our January 27th staff meeting, we will be focusing on differentiation strategies across all content areas and the way we support diverse learners in our classrooms. This will be a collaborative "Share and grow" experience, where each of us brings one strategy or practice that has made a meaningful difference for students.
Our goal is to build a collective bank of real examples that teachers can apply immediately--because even the smallest instructional shifts can create big gains for student confidence and growth.
Thank you in advance for contributing your expertise and helping us continue to grow together.
Student of the Week (repeat)
Don’t forget to submit your Student of the Week—someone who has been kind to peers, helpful, and a positive influence. Let’s celebrate those everyday heroes in our classrooms! The google sheet is in our shared google drive. Students will be called to the office each Friday morning after announcements.
For the week of December 8th-12th, please upload your lesson alignments into Frontline, Teacher Domain 4, instead of emailing it to me. Please don't forget to add the additional heading for DIFFERENTATION! How will you identify and adjust instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English language learners and students requiring additional reading support? Thank you!
We are creating a “Blast Off to Brilliance: A Day in the Life of a Mustang” documentary to showcase at the January School Board Meeting, which Algodones will proudly host. I have 15 minutes to tell the story of what it’s truly like to be a student here, and I want our students’ voices to be the heart of it. Please have your students respond to short writing prompts—such as “I love reading because…” or “My favorite part of being a Mustang is…”—and, when they’re ready to record, text me, radio me, or send students to my office. I’ll handle the voice recording. I’m so excited to bring this vision to life and highlight all the amazing experiences our Mustangs have each day.

These third graders are our students—many of them started in our kindergarten classrooms and have grown into confident learners. When you see them in the hallways, please encourage them to do their very best. On testing days, remind your own students to walk quietly to the restroom and specials so our testers can focus. Let’s support our Mustangs and help them shine!
