Student Scholars are undergraduate students who have already taken the course and wish to participate as facilitators. The Scholars are responsible for running course sections under the guidance and supervision of the GSIs and faculty. In the process, SSs have unique opportunities to apply their knowledge of sustainability and climate change issues while also developing teaching and professional skills.
The SSs participate simultaneously in a three-unit course (PH 196) to prepare them to lead discussions, and help the GSIs grade projects and written exercises. They receive mentoring and feedback for a thoroughly rewarding experience.
Each semester, the next group of undergraduate Student Scholars is recruited. Current PH101 students who may be interested should reach out to a GSI,
