Extraction of Solution G

Extract solution G with 2 mL of ethyl acetate three times for a total of 6 mL.

This video shows a large test tube with a colorless liquid. A second liquid is added that forms a separate layer abovethe first. A pipet is then used to mix the two layers by drawing up the lower layer and expelling it into the top layer. The layers are allowed to separate and the pipet is used to remove the upper layer. This process is repeated two more times.
