Acidify Solution E

Using a buret dispense 1.5 mL of aqueous 6M HCl directly into the flask containing solution E. Be sure to do this step in the fume hood.

This video shows the bottom of a buret. A gloved hand raises a small flask with a colorless liquid inside up to the buret tip. Another gloved hand turns the buret stopcock and dispenses a colorless liquid into the flask. At the same time a zoomed in view of the buret shows the liquid level decreasing as it is dispensed. The liquid level goes down from 92 mL to 93.4 mL. The flask is then lowered from view.
