Part 1: Preparation

Extraction Technique:

The technique you will be using is the micro-extraction technique found on pages 114-117 of the Pedersen lab textbook.

Depicts a conical tube with two layers, an organic layer above an aqueous layer. This is followed by a pipette being placed in the aqueous layer, and then the aqueous layer being removed with the pipette. The original tube with only the organic layer, labeled O R G 1, and another tube with the aqueous layer, labeled A Q is now present. Below this the tube labeled O R G 1 is presented again, then the tube is shown with another aqueous layer added. The tube is then shown with a pipette placed in the aqueous layer. The tube is the shown again with the pipette removing the aqueous layer. The tube with the organic layer is now labele O R G 2, and the pipette is used to add the aqueous layer to the original tube labeled A Q.
