Overview:

This project is designed to detect sound frequencies using an onboard microphone, determine which musical note is closest and displays whether the played note is in tune, flat

Features:

ESP32-S2-SOLO-N4 Microcontroller
5 LEDs (Red, Yellow and Green) to indicate severity of pitch difference
Micro-USB Type-B for power delivery
Buzzer to inform user of correct tuning
Display to inform user of reference musical note being detected and required actions

Progress:

The amplifier (U3) posed the greatest challenge with regards to soldering. Given the ground pad underneath the component, solder paste was applied first, and a hot air gun was used with the amplifier placed on top. Once properly seated and the hot air fixed the component, the pins were then soldered manually and the pin connections are inspected using a microscope.
