Overview:
This project utilizes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and barometer to detect falling.
Description:
We wanted to replicate one of the functionalities of the Apple Watch: the Apple watch can detect a hard fall; if you are not well enough to disable the alert comes up on the screen, it automatically calls emergency services and notifies your emergency contacts. Our goal was to make a simplified version with a buzzer as an indicator of falling being successfully detected.

Utilize microcontroller to process signals coming in from various sensors
Power:
Replaceable coin cells at 3V; stepping up from 3V to 3.3V
Sensing:
Accelerometer -> detect unusual magnitudes of acceleration
Gyroscope -> verify direction of acceleration
Barometer -> additional sensor to reduce false positives; measures change in pressure to ensure the direction of acceleration is downwards
Actuation:
Buzzer -> indicates whether or not falling is detected
