CalFresh is California’s food stamps (SNAP) program. This program is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. Applications can be submitted online, making it accessible for those in need.

This program helps families across the state by providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthy foods and referrals to health care and other community services.
WIC serves infants and children up to age 5 and people who are pregnant or have given birth or experienced pregnancy loss. Partners, grandparents, foster parents of young children, working families and migrant families are welcome at WIC too!

In order to help low-income individuals and families acquire wholesome food, The CAFB offer a database of food banks that provide a range of food assistance services, such as emergency food boxes, meal programs, and nutrition education. The website also supports 3 different languages: English, Spanish, and Chinese!
Seniors and those with disabilities who are unable to prepare or shop for their own meals can get home delivery of meals from California. In addition to providing wholesome meals, this program also conducts frequent wellness checks and social interactions, both of which are essential for the wellbeing of those who are housebound.
211 California
211 California is a free, private service that links people to neighborhood services, such as food aid programs. By calling 2-1-1, individuals can get information on local food banks, meal programs, and other social services.
