Alexandra is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying data science and Chicanx/Latinx studies. She researched the topic, its background, additional factors that impact it, and contributed to the narrative. Alexandra also provided some student and general public resources to access food, and translated the narrative and guiding questions to Spanish.
Arfa is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying geography and computer science. She was the main developer for the interactive food access map and contributed to data cleaning and organization. Arfa also worked with Jialin on the data critique.
Jialin is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying data science and economics. She was responsible for creating visualizations that demonstrated how different races and groups are affected by food insecurity. Additionally, she contributed to data analysis and data critiques.
Rosemary is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying computer science with a minor in data science. She posed the research questions and designed the flow of the site as well as contributed to the “About” page's technical assets and decision-making process.
Krystal is a second year undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying cognitive science with a minor in data science. She constructed a historical timeline and contributed to the connected reading and writing aspects.
Bhavna is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying data science with a minor in computer science. She was responsible for responding to the research questions through different critical perspectives, as well as contributing to the services and interface sections of the “About” page.
Lexa is a second year undergraduate student studying data science and economics at UC Berkeley. She is responsible for researching the decision on California, LA county, the research question, forming the hypothesis, and contributing to the narrative.
