Record the initial volume of titrant, the dilute HCl unknown, in your buret.
A meniscus reader, or buret card, can be used to make it easier to read the buret.

Add the HCl unknown to the sodium carbonate in the flask fairly quickly (2 – 3 mL at a time). Be sure to swirl the flask.
As you approach the end point (the end point is a green color but often appears grey), slow the addition of HCl unknown (1 mL at a time or less).
The end point can be determined by noting when the solution turns green/grey and remains that color for 30 seconds or more with constant swirling.
When the end point is reached, stop the titration and record the final volume of titrant on the buret.
