Welcome to Team Hawkeye at Berea Midpark Middle School. I’m Mr. Cummins, many students simply call me Mr. “C”. I will be teaching Math and Science this year. I have been teaching for 33 years most of which has been in Berea Schools in grades 5 and 6. I have taught all subjects but have spent most of my time in Math and Science. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Akron in Elementary Education and Education Administration. I am married and have two awesome sons-one who is a junior at Kent State and another who is a full time HVAC technician. We also have two dogs named Charlie and Bolt. Our favorite family time is to go boating, jet skiing, camping and having a day at the lake. I love to build things from wood and do anything in the outdoors such as 4-wheeling, hiking, fishing, and hunting.

Welcome to Berea Midpark Middle School, and to team Hawkeye! I’m Mrs. Burke, and I will be your teacher for English Language Arts and Social Studies. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mount Union College, and my Master’s Degree in Gifted Education from Cleveland State University. I have been teaching in the Berea City School District for fifteen years. I have taught 1st, 2nd (self contained gifted), 3rd, 4th and 5th! I am married, and I have a daughter and a son. I enjoy cooking, traveling, listening to music, and doing anything outdoors. I look forward to a successful school year!
Welcome to Berea Midpark Middle School and to team Hawkeye! I’m Mrs. Aurand and I am the team’s Intervention Specialist. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Kent State University and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and special education certification from Cleveland State University. I have been teaching in the Berea City School District for eleven years. Prior to that I was a substitute teacher for several years.
I am married, I have two daughters who both graduated as Titans, and a dog named Macie. I love to travel with my family. In my free time I like to hike, run, walk Macie, read, and do puzzles.
As the team's IS, I will be providing services, and resources to various students on the team while providing support to Mr. Cummins and Mrs. Burke as they teach. I look forward to working with and getting to know all of the students on Team Hawkeye.
