At minimum, a student must have started French or Spanish as a second language no later than the Freshman year;
Enter the IB Diploma Programme your junior year at BHS, and satisfactorily complete all the requirements over the next two years;
Throughout the two years, each Diploma student engages in the IB CORE of individualized learning that includes an Extended Essay, a Theory of Knowledge component, and completion of Creativity/Activity/Service (CAS);
Each Diploma student completes six total IB courses; at least one course from each of the first five Course groups, and three courses at high level (HL). Click HERE to explore the IB Course groups and IB courses offered at BHS;
Students ultimately earn the IB Diploma by satisfactorily completing the IB Core requirements, along with earning a minimum of 24 total marks through their IB courses (with a minimum of 12 marks in HL courses). Click HERE for a publication from the IB that further explains how to earn the Diploma.
