(Additionally Resourced Provision)
"Stargazers is a central element of Belmont School Life. In Stargazers, we encourage and celebrate
the moments of wonder in all children, regardless of their individual needs. Children feel happy, safe
and secure and therefore are able to become more independent learners. Through fun, multisensory
and personalised teaching, each small step of progress is celebrated and all children’s strengths
are recognised and valued. As a result of this, every child is able to fulfil their potential."
Stargazers is our specialist resource provision, which is for pupils who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with a primary need of Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The Stargazers timetable reflects a balance between providing a wide a rich curriculum and a significant amount of time for personalised intervention, work towards specific EHCP targets and a focus on early developmental skills and play. We are currently working on refining our curriculum for Stargazers and pupils who require a highly personalised learning journey, for more information, please click here.
Named places within our specialist provision are determined by multi-agency panel (MAP) through the local authority, not by the school. To see the admission criteria, click on the button below.
If you are looking for a specialist place and want to find out more about our ARMS provision, please contact your Case Work Officer (CWO). Please note that our ARMS is currently full and no places are available for the next academic year.
