equatIO

BHS purchases a building license for students and teachers. This tool helps showcase mathematics in a digital fashion. equatIO is a chrome extension that is automatically pushed to all those in the Bedford domain.

How to use equatIO

In the slide presentation, users will learn how to:

  • Active equatIO for the first time
  • turn on prediction mode to help make entering math quicker
  • use equation editor
  • use hand draw feature
  • use speech recognition feature
  • correct a mistake
  • use desmos within equatIO
  • convert writing on paper to digital format

equatIO Shortcuts

The more you get used to using shortcuts the faster you will get at using the product. You will find a couple shortcuts in the image on the right.

Using equatIO in Google Forms

If you are asked to use equatIO when filling out answers in a Google Form, click on the blue box icon that shows up on the right side of the answer box. equatIO tool bar will show up at the bottom.



If you noticed that you made a mistake after you added your answer, you can either hit the blue x to delete and start all over OR you can hit the equatio box to reinsert what was entered to alter it. Then hit insert math button one last time.



Don't forget that you can use all features of equatIO with Google Forms. You can insert graphs, talk your math to your chromebook to convert to text or if you have a touch screen chromebook, you can write out equation on your screen.
