Languages Head Start Programme

Friday 1 & Friday 8 June

The words we use are the lifeblood of culture, art, film, literature and music. The Headstart Morning in the Languages faculty will liberate students from the constraints of GCSE, and help them see connections between how we express ourselves and every area of human life -- from 18th century poetry to art-house cinema, contemporary grime music, nature diaries or haute-couture.

Nothing is beyond the reach of language.

These sessions will enable students to explore things they love through engaging with words, and also see the ways in which language and literature can connect us to revolutionary ideas, powerful works of art, political and social activism, and --most importantly--each other.

You can select the Headstart options you are interested in, even if you have not yet selected a course for A-Level.
