CO-CURRICULAR: GET STARTED ON YOUR BEDE’S DIPLOMA
Get ahead of the game and start work on your Bede’s Diploma, the co-curricular programme which all Sixth Form students complete. This is a flexible option where you can do as much or as little as you want, whenever you want.
Once signed up you will be given a check-list so that you can log what you have completed. Try your best to complete one thing from each of the sections below to help you get a head start.
HIGHLIGHTS
Listen to at least one of the podcasts given by a diverse range of leading individuals in their fields.
These Q&A sessions will give you an insight into leading professionals’ personal journeys to success, what motivates them and will include any advice they would give to young people today.
Start to think about which ‘Extend’ option you would like to complete – from the EPQ to Sports Leadership find out more about each qualification in this section and start preparing for your chosen topic.
You can also take advantage of all of the free courses available online at the moment and complete one.
Channel your inner creativity and challenge yourself to complete some of the quarantine themed tasks from cooking to quizzing.
Give back to your local community and complete one charitable act.
This could be raising money, cleaning up a local wildlife area, donating to charity or volunteering to help someone in need.
Take a look at the sport on offer in the Sixth Form and hear from a range of different sports staff and start your pre-season training ready for September.
Also learn more about how to look after your well-being through the range of different resources on offer from podcasts to activities.

Focus on the Bede’s Diploma at a time that works for you e.g. during your free afternoons or on days when you’re not attending any other sessions.
The Sixth Form Team will provide you with one to one feedback and help answer any of your questions.

All the content will be delivered in a live, interactive manner and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions of our experienced professionals. All you need is an internet connection; we will send you full details of how to access the programme well in advance.

The Programme is for students preparing to enter the Sixth Form who have the passion and ambition to get a head start on their Bede’s Diploma which all Sixth Form students are required to complete.
