Subject: Important Information for the Thespian State Festival Field Trip (April 3-5, 2025)
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to announce that our theater students will be attending the Thespian State Festival from April 3-5, 2025. This three-day, two-night event is an incredible opportunity for students to participate in workshops, performances, competitions, and networking with other theater students and professionals from across the state.
Departure: Beaverton High School, April 3 at 11:00 AM via District bus.
Festival Location: Salem, Oregon

Return: Beaverton High School, April 5 (evening arrival, exact time TBD)
Our students will be performing "A Young Man Dressed as a Gorilla Dressed as an Old Man Sits Rocking in a Rocking Chair for 56 Minutes and Then Leaves" during the festival, an exciting opportunity to showcase their talent! Thursday, April 3:
12:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Pre-festival activities (Showcase Auditions, Design/Tech Competition, College Auditions, and more)
6:00 PM – 10:30 PM: Festival opening (Main Stage performances, Evening Events, and more)
Friday, April 4:
9:00 AM – 10:30 PM: Festival events all day (Workshops, One Acts, Main Stages, Evening Events, and more)
Saturday, April 5:
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM: Festival events and Closing Ceremony (includes Showcase)
A detailed schedule will be shared with registered participants the week of the festival via the Eventsential app.
Total Cost per Student: $205.00 (Includes registration, 3-day hotel room, hotel security fee, and transportation)
Discount: -$45.00 for students who received the Thespian Grants
Students will need money for meals (breakfast is provided at the hotel; lunch/dinner will be at festival venues).
Please ensure your student packs appropriate clothing, toiletries, and any personal items they may need.
All school and district behavior expectations apply throughout the trip.
