Remember: All assignment grades appear in Canvas. Final marks will appear in Synergy. This is so students can re-do work to get the best grade possible.
My best advice is to sit down with your student and look at their canvas page together. The first place to look is the Grades tab.
If a student has received a grade that they're not satisfied with, they are welcome to re-submit an improved assignment until the deadline near the end of the semester.
The deadline for late or re-do work is January 18th for semester 1 and June 3 for semester 2 as noted on the course syllabus.
Chances are strong that if a student has a grade less than a 3 or 4, I've probably given feedback on how to improve their work to get a better grade. There are two ways to find these comments:
- Click the assignment title.
- Click the feedback icon that looks like a comment bubble.
When you click on the comment bubble icon, comments left about the assignment will appear below. Click on the comment to reply. Click on the assignment title to resubmit your updated work.
