Welcome to 5th Grade music class! Your teacher is Mrs. Shaw. We will have a lot of fun learning about music this year!! In 5th grade we spend a lot of time composing, singing, dancing, and playing instruments to music from throughout the music history timeline. We will travel back in time to study the music of the greatest composers of old like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Stravinsky. We will continue to implement notes like sixteenth, half, and whole notes in combination with eighth and quarter notes.
