3rd Grade

Welcome to 3rd Grade music class! Your teacher is Mrs. Shaw. We will have a lot of fun learning about music this year!! In 3rd grade we spend a lot of time singing, dancing, and playing instruments. We will learn new note values like sixteenth, half, and whole notes in combination with eighth and quarter notes. We will also be learning to play the recorders beginning in April!!

Here's a secret recipe for success: five easy-to-learn songs, four short scenes, and a famous folk tale. The result is a musically nutritious, no-fuss performance for elementary-aged performers. Teach your students that "the greatest gift is to share" with this character-building, mini-musical.

Each 3rd grader gets one recorder and one Recorder Karate booklet. If you lose your booklet you can download and print it from here :).
