As I have been taking the technology classes over the last couple of years, I've been trying to adapt and incorporate more technology in my classroom. We are a one-to-one tech school meaning each of our students have their very own Chromebooks to use in and outside of my classroom. Because we are a one-to-one tech school, I wanted to learn more about how I can use the technology to my advantage and further my students' learning.
It has been a wonderful journey, and I believe not only have my students' learning been enhanced but I have also learned more about how technology fits into my educational philosophy. I have also had my eyes open to the good technology can be used for instead of always grumbling about "having" to use tech in my classroom versus genuinely wanting to use it. Even though I believe some aspects of teaching cannot be done through technology, I do think using technology can help students think deeper about a topic, create projects, discuss with others outside the classroom, and much more.
