Here are three examples of my students writing to mark my beginning point for my SLO. The students had to write an essay over the span of two days. I didn't give them any direction because I wanted to see where they were at with writing and what they remembered from the previous year. I simply said to write an essay on the following prompt; "Is honesty a good trait to have in a best friend?" Students were told to write an essay and they could use any resources they wanted (personal, articles, images, etc.)

Here are the final examples for the year. Students were given another topic. They had two days to research (they added citations into the Noodletools platform), two days to write their essay and bring everything together.
