Do I have to take a PE?
Students need 20 credits of PE to graduate from high school (2 years/4 semesters).
All 9th graders are required to be enrolled in PE unless they have a medical exemption.
Students need to either be enrolled in PE in 10th grade or have a plan with their counselor to complete PE credits in the summer (for students enrolled in ASB, AVID, DLI, or LIP programs) or participate on a BHS sports team to receive 5 credits of PE per season of sport completed (sports credits will only be placed on the student's transcript if PE credit is needed).
Do my freshman year classes count for college?

You do not need a world language to graduate. 1 year of a world language OR Fine Art OR
CSU and UC's require the equivalent of the second yea/level of a world language. Any student who takes Spanish 2 or Spanish Native Speakers 1 will meet this minimum requirement but we highly encourage students to complete the recommended 3rd year/level.
7. Can I take classes in another program over summer?
Yes, students can take classes at other K-12 programs or colleges.
Students planning to take college courses over summer need to complete the Concurrent Enrollment form prior to enrolling in the course and follow the necessary steps outlined but the college of choice.
It is the student's responsibility to enroll themselves in these programs and send official transcripts to BHS upon completion.

For seniors, students may drop the elective course and replace it with an open period if their schedule permits and they are on track for graduation.
