Communicate Ideas
For my Comp class this year, we had to write a paper about a controversial topic that was important to us. I chose to do the topic of abortion and reproductive freedom because I have always been intrigued by the topic. This paper was significant to my junior year because I had to look nationally at different pieces of legislation and different states' rules regarding abortion. Researching for this paper relates to JAGS because with both I felt connected to the world more.
This paper connects to the JAGS pillar Communicate Ideas as I had to go out and research about a topic I didn't really know about. I got to spread awareness about the issue and provide facts along with my own opinion about abortion through this paper. I got to communicate different ideas of legislation that I think should become real in the world.
Communicate Ideas
For my CCP government class we had to write a final term paper which basically just summed up everything we had learned in the class. I wrote about animal testing and the harmful effects of it.
This paper connects to the JAGS pillar Communicate Ideas as I had to go out and research about the topic and explain what was bad about animal testing and how we can fix it and not allow it to continue to be done.
Investigate the World
For my anatomy class this year, we had to dissect a fetal pig and identify all the different organs and parts of the body. I found this very interesting because I want to pursue a career in the medical field.
This assignment connects to the JAGS pillar Investigate the world as I got to investigate an animal and see their structure. I enjoyed seeing all the different parts and learning about how pigs have some organs different than humans.

Take Action
For my capstone class this year, we created a capstone project where we made freshen up kits with hygiene donations. We also put feminine product bins in the middle school as our other part of our capstone.
This capstone connects to the JAGS pillar Take Action as I got to help those who might be in need in my community. We took action and created a way for young girls to feel confident and not ashamed of themselves. We also found a way to help people who may not have access to hygiene products feel not ashamed.
